Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana Movie Review : Starring Rajkumar Rao as Satyendra (Satoo) and Kriti Kharbanda (Aarti) as the main lead actors. This movie is without doubt a complete hindi masala movie with all the right ingredients. The actors and the supporting cast have done a great job in grabbing the attention of the audiences for 140 minutes of this movie. This movie narrates the practical things happening in this country.
Two strangers arranged for marriage meet each other and find they have lots of things in common between them. They eventually fall in love and this was all evident in the trailers as well. But the story took a violent turn when “still relevant” social issues like dowry and daughter-in-law not allowed to work after marriage cropped up. Second half was about revenge and this was where Rajkumar Rao was at his best. And like all other movies this one also ended on a good note.
I felt the movie was a mixed bag. Kriti Kharbanda was an eye candy. And her chemistry with Rajkumar Rao was the main attraction. The tracks were timed right and were very beautiful. The tune that gets stuck in your head was of the song “Jogi”. At times things got very predictable but the story continued to remain believable. There was little humor infused at different points of the story and it was an overall enjoyable experience.
Here’s a dialogue that stood out for me –
All is fair in love and war, love is over now war begins…..
Must watch if you love romantic movies that have a twist. Must watch if you wanna listen to listen to some great songs. Must watch if you are willing to experience a “feel good in the end” movie as these are very rare now. 🙂
